Friends of Opera Saratoga

The purpose of the Friends of Opera Saratoga is to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor and develop an understanding, love and taste of the musical arts, especially opera. The membership organization also provides volunteer support to the Company for its many programs throughout the year

The Friends of Opera Saratoga (FOS) was founded in August 2001 and today has approximately 150 members. New members are always welcome. We invite you to join by completing and sending in the Friends of Opera Saratoga Membership Form, which can be printed by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

Member benefits include:

receiving our quarterly publication, Cantabile
invitation to members only events, including the annual December Holiday Party
receiving advance notice of programs sponsored by FOS

Some of the annual activities include:

An all company/staff and members picnic
Meet & Greet breakfast buffet for the cast on the first day of opera rehearsals
Pasta & Puccini dinner and musical fundraiser event in the spring
Managing the Spa Little Theater concession during the opera season
Periodic luncheon and/or dinner informational panel discussions or lectures
Holiday party with refreshments and musical program
Many opportunities to assist OS and FOS with mailing preparations
Fall joint dinner program with the American Italian Heritage Association
